Resource Book

PRO Force Members are eligible to include business cards in the PRO Force Home Improvement Contractors Resource Books located at National Lumber stores. A contractor can list their business in one or more categories. They are listed with specialties noted if applicable.

National Lumber is offering this information as a service to Remodeling Contractor customers in good standing, and as a courtesy to provide homeowners with general guidelines for making informed decisions in their search for a contractor. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to research the contractor, including checking their license/registration, and then to select three companies for comparison.

Home improvement contractors and construction supervisors are required to be licensed by and/or registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. You can call 617-973-8700 or use the links above or below to access the website of the State Board of Building Regulations and Standards to check the registration and/or license of a contractor before hiring them.

As you may know, the Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) program has been moved from DPS to the Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA). You may still check for registration status on the DPS website.
