In order to obtain a Specialty Construction Supervisor License a contractor must be registered with the state as Home Improvement Contractor.
There is a process to obtain a Specialty License without taking the exam. The Grandfathered Specialty Construction Supervisor Application requires that the contractor attest to at least 5 years experience in the specialty and provide client names, contact information and the years in which each project was performed.
If you cannot use the grandfathered license process you will need to pass a license examination.
