Mansfield, MA - August 8, 2012 - Continuing a tradition of promoting from within the company, National Lumber has proudly announced the promotions of Mike McDole to Senior Vice President of Sales, overseeing all aspects of sales for the company, and Kim Pavao as Vice President of Sales, responsible for outside sales eastern and southern coast region, PRO Force remodeling division and inside sales. Pavao will report to McDole, and McDole will report directly to company President Manny Pina.

Mike McDole joined National Lumber in 2001 as Sales Manager responsible for the territory of southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In 2007, he was promoted to VP of Sales, responsible for outside sales eastern and southern coast region. Mike has been a driving force behind National’s expansion into Rhode Island, with the 2010 opening of a location in Warwick.  Better service to the building industry is the focus of this dynamic company’s growth. Mike has been involved in finding sales people who are building experts and training them in National Lumber’s procedures. The result is an expert sales staff that is eager to help contractors with every aspect of their building projects. 

McDole lives in Narragansett, Rhode Island and has been in the building materials business since 1983. He initially worked for “84 Lumber”, and then moved to “JT’s Lumber” in RI where he worked his way up to Vice President/General Manager. He left JT’s in 2000 to start up the “Building Supply Channel, Inc.” with industry veteran, Greg Brooks. National Lumber uses BSCi Pro as part of their very extensive employee training. A published writer of many articles, Mike enjoys contributing his expertise in professional trade magazines.

Pavao lives in Somerset, Massachusetts and joined National Lumber in 2009 as a Sales Manager responsible for the territory of southern Massachusetts.  He has been in the building materials industry since 1975, working in inside sales at the Schwartz Lumber main branch in Fall River, MA. During college, he worked in commercial roofing, residential estimating, commercial drywall and millwork. In 1983, he began working for P.D. Humphrey Company in outside contractor sales. In 1992, he moved to Pioneer Plastics, a laminate manufacturer of engineered surface technology, as a wholesale representative and commercial project representative. In 1994, Kim joined Dartmouth Building Supply as a Sales Manager. His wide range of experience shows his continued growth, and he is expected to increase National Lumber’s customer base in the eastern and southern coast regions.

National Lumber has been serving the New England area since 1934. Now in its third generation, this family owned and operated company is led by co-CEO siblings Steven Kaitz and Margie Kaitz Seligman, and company president Manny Pina.
