Our first Green Building seminar was held July 28, 2010

Our keynote speaker, Peter Yost of Green Building Advisor, showed us amazing examples of how ignoring building science results in failed buildings even when the best materials are used. You must know how the various new materials available interact with each other. 2010 JLC Live New England
Conference: March 24-27, 2010

At JLC LIVE 2010 in Providence, RI, National Lumber was in Booth #1217 with brand new displays. Attendees enjoyed purchasing tools from our Pneumatics Division at special show pricing and had the opportunity to see our presentations by Reliable Truss and Components of surprising custom prefabrication possibilities, and National Millwork with interior and exterior products plus custom pre-built staircases and more. New to the show this year — Pro Insulators, our installed insulation division, was nearby at Booth #1202 demonstrating the benefits of various types of insulation.

Training for Contractors

National Lumber hosted an EPA RRP (Lead Paint) Certification Course on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Taunton Holiday Inn. By popular demand, National Lumber also arranged to host one additional date in the same location - Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Taunton Holiday Inn.

At this time we are not planning to host any further EPA training events. You can contact your local building association to find other training options.

Training for Architects

A Day of Architectural Training was held free of charge for architects at National Lumber, 71 Maple Street, Mansfield, MA on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Contractor Appreciation Night Party

National Lumber's Annual Contractor Appreciation Night is a popular event with our customers. Our last Contractor Night was held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 in the Grand Ballroom of the Taunton Holiday Inn in Taunton, MA.

Guests enjoyed good food and informative vendor booths. Door prizes were awarded by drawing at the end of the evening.

Examples of Vendor Events

Each spring National Lumber in Newton hosts a series of vendor events. During this special period, customers are encouraged to join us for their morning coffee break at our store 7am–11am and meet product experts with their latest and greatest offerings.
